2017 proceeds to benefit K9s4Cops
Brian and his wife, Jayme, have always been very active members of the community and have spent years brainstorming a suitable concept for a foundation. Founded in 2015, the Brian Robison Reel ‘Em In Foundation was formed to provide financial, emotional and physical support for those in need. The Foundation’s mission is to positively impact those in need through partnerships with existing organizations in local communities in Minnesota and Brian’s home state of Texas.
Each year, the Foundation will work to raise funds and awareness for a different charitable organization through two marquee fishing tournaments: one in Minnesota and one in Texas. The foundation will continue to research and evaluate organizations and groups on an annual basis that are identified as struggling and are in desperate need of help.
For 2016, the chosen organization is K9s4Cops, a national organization that provides canines to law enforcement agencies, school districts, and college campuses across the United States. In four years, K9s4Cops has unleashed approximately 100 canines to 68 agencies and 12 schools across 28 states. Their dogs have helped make arrests and locate narcotics, explosives, weapons, and cash. Not only do these highly-skilled and trained animals provide invaluable detection abilities, but their diligent service allows their human partners to make it home safely to their families each night. Brian and Jayme have both been personally touched by this organization and are excited about this year’s partnership!
